GL De acordo con isto, en Séneca o filósofo, en Lucano, en Tácito, mesmo en Plinio o novo, etc. pero especialmente nos dous primeiros, afirmo que hai unha altivez de pensamento máis eminente e caracteristicamente romana que en calesquera escritores precedentes: e nese punto de vista cualificalos coma escritores de idade de Prata, vale só para os que son servís ós lugares comúns da crítica irreflexiva.
