PURPOSE, OWNERSHIP AND ACCESS
The purpose of the Gallaecia Lexical Heritage (PLG) resource is to document and show the general public and the academic community variation in the current vocabulary heritage within the source territory of the Galician and Portuguese languages on a single website. The PLG contains a database owned by the University of Santiago de Compostela developed at the Galician Language Institute, protected by intellectual property rights (article 12 of the Intellectual Property Law).
The user of this website may perform the actions necessary for access to the contents of the database and its normal use. However,the following actions are not allowed:
- Those that are contrary to a normal exploitation of said base or unjustifiably harm the legitimate interests of the owner of the rights. For these purposes, any type of massive or automatic download of contents is prohibited.
- Those that harm the owner of a copyright that affect works contained in said database.
The owner’s authorization will not be required:
- When a reproduction is made for private purposes.
- When the use is made for teaching illustration purposes or scientific research provided that it is carried out to the extent justified by the non-commercial objective pursued, indicating its source in any case. The user must always cite the PLG as the source of the materials consulted and the information obtained in the search tools, including the URL http://ilg.usc.gal/plg/. See “how to quote”.
- When it is to be used for public security purposes or for the purposes of an administrative or judicial procedure.
The access and use of the website implies that the user accepts in full and undertakes to comply fully with the terms and conditions detailed herein.
Access to the website is free. The user undertakes to make an appropriate use, in accordance with the law, of the contents and services of PLG.
If any user fails to comply with the legal terms and conditions of use specified herein, the holders of PLG reserve the right to take appropriate legal action in defense of their rights.
LIABILITY EXCLUSION
Both access to this website and the use that may be made of the information contained herein is the sole responsibility of the user.
The owner will not be responsible for any consequence, damage or prejudice that may occur in the user’s equipment as a direct or indirect consequence of accessing this website.
Furthermore, the USC is exempt from any liability arising from the malfunction of the website originating in accidental circumstance, force majeure, necessary maintenance work or any other cause, as well as any errors and inaccuracies that the website may contain.
