Tesouro Informatizado da Lingua Galega (TILG) is a historical Galician textual corpus covering the Modern and Present-Day Period. It has been developed by the Instituto da Lingua Galega under the leadership of Antón Santamarina.
The current version, TILG 4.1, includes over 3,000 documents written between 1612 and 2013, and contains approximately 30 million word forms that are lemmatized and morphosyntactically tagged. The latest version was produced by Ernesto González Seoane and María Álvarez de la Granja, in conjunction with NLPgo Technologies, S.L. which was in charge of digitalization. This version presents a number of new features.
The texts have been reprocessed to maximize the corpus’ usefulness. The tagging system for morphosyntactic labelling has been updated and enriched with a great deal of information in headers incorporating new types of metadata. In addition to the two basic kinds of simple search (by Headwords / Grammatical units and Graphic words), the newest version of TILG offers an advanced search configuration that allows searches to be refined and search results to be filtered.
Throughout the project’s life since it began in 1986 and continue throughout several updates, this project has received financing from the Dirección Xeral de Política Lingüística (later the Secretaría Xeral de Política Lingüística) of the Xunta de Galicia.
