Gal-Gal Dict

The Gal-Gal (Galician-Welsh) Dict is a basic, pedagogic dictionary. It offers context clues to guide users to the correct entry, where there are several meanings. The Welsh language belongs to the Brythonic subgroup of the Celtic language family. It is spoken primarily in Wales and in Yr Wladfa, Argentina. The dictionary contains examples of real usage of the Welsh from Wales as found in the CorCenCC,

The dictionary is based around educational material for the Welsh and Galician languages. This is to ensure vocabulary remains basic and focuses on a pedagogic approach. The primary aim of this dictionary is to introduce the user to basic Welsh vocabulary. The dictionary is based upon educational material for the Welsh and Galician languages and aims to aid Welsh production for Galician speakers. Therefore, the vocabulary used in the dictionary is simple, and the pronunciation of Welsh words is demonstrated using the IPA. WARNING: This dictionary does not deal with Welsh mutations. It would be advised that users of this dictionary consult materials, such as those mentioned as sources, to learn more about mutations.

This dictionary is aimed at speakers of Galician, who are interested and curious about the Welsh language, and those who want to learn it.
